We got a floor at the villa with a lot of space. It has air conditioning, antique furniture, several balconies with astonishing views, friendly hosts and really close to the Berat castle. Private parking
Clean and spacious apartment. The morning view from the apartment balcony was really beautiful. Reaching the apartment can be a bit tricky, but just need to follow the instructions from the host which she would send way beforehand. Only issue we faced is the steep and damaged road from the apartment to the main road (cars will do fine, scooters will struggle). To my fellow travellers who are using a scooter, please take extra care and don’t ride with the passenger neither in the steep road from the apartment to the main road nor near the Berat castle. Our “300 cc” scooter was a complete joke and caused us a lot of trouble. Again, it had nothing to do with the apartment :)
My goodness ❤️ this place is a paradise in the berat mountains. Up in the hill, closer to the castle but walk and climb is hard. My recommendation is bring your own car, rent this place for few days for vacation. They have their own parking and your car will let you move freely. Roads to the villa is very steep and narrow as well, you need experience to drive in these streets...
This place is walking distance from the castle. It's very spacious with a patio. Didn't use it, but laundry on site. The neighbor who helped us check in was very friendly. Beautiful views!

The location was amazing with exceptional views but it was a bit tricky getting there. It needs to be approached from above the property and the road down to it is very steep and unmade.
This property is absolutely stunning! A real hidden gem!! Huge, a bargain and wonderfully stocked with everything you need! The little “shop” advised by the host is an absolute must, everyone is so friendly and smiley even if language is a barrier it can be worked around! We will be back!! File was a fabulous host, communication was brilliant.
Lovely traditional property with wonderful views. It felt very rural but only 15 mins walk from the castle albeit on some very steep lanes
Nice view and a lot of space.
We enjoyed our two nights at this great rooftop apartment. It’s clean, spacious, well equipped and has great views over the town and mountains. We liked the two big bedrooms and two bathrooms including one with wash machine. The kitchen is good and well ventilated to prepare simple dishes and breakfast. Top of the bill is the big balcony with multiple seating areas to enjoy breakfast in the shade and also watch sunset end of the days. Good spot to have early morning walk (because of the heat during our stay this summer) to the castle and the river sides. The castle and the various restaurants and bars are also great to visit in the evening.
The apartments are huge. The views were amazing. Very peaceful and tranquil and very close to the castle. Host provided lots of useful information.

Location great for visiting Berat castle and local restaurants nearby. Apartment typical Albanian style, neighbour friendly and helpful, gave us oranges from their garden which were lovely for fresh orange juice. Despite initially thinking we had paid to have top floor apartment, we liked having the lower floor apartment turned out to be cool during the hot weather.
The apartment is wonderful. Very clean and comfortable. All you need could be found there.
The location and the welcome . all was very good. And the host engaged with us before hand to give us a detailed instructions on how to reach the place etc.
We had a great time at Villa Rosa Berat. We stayed on the 3rd floor and had an amazing view. The people living on the ground and first floors were really nice and helpful. They helped us park our big rental SUV in the driveway (it’s very steep but totally doable) and they were always available if we needed help. The road to the house is not in great condition, however it is totally doable, even with a big car. We took option 1 to go up to the house (going up the cobbled stone road and it was totally fine with our automatic car). We then took option 2 (asphalt) to go down and it was good too! The castle is very close to the house.
